During the Covid-19 Pandemic JYN – Jewish Youth Network has assembled a team of volunteers to assist and support those in need.
While Thank G-d things are a lot better now, we are continuing this most beautiful initiative to help those less fortunate in the community, especially around the holidays.
JYN Chesed is established as a program for our youth to experience fundraising, packaging, volunteering, and to experience doing Chesed in the community.
We are not set up as a food bank or as an organization to provide consistent assistance to those in need. Therefore we ask those requesting assistance through the JYN Chesed program to keep your requests to 3-4 times a year.
In general, we do our fundraising and distribution around Holiday times. We will try to connect you with the appropriate community organizations if you require ongoing assistance.
Prayers: If you are unwell and would like us to pray for you. We will be glad to do that.
Critical errands: If you are homebound and need help with critical errands, let us know. We will do our best to help.
Financial Help: We know that many families are struggling and unemployment is making daily grocery shopping and rent difficult, especially as we head into The Upcoming Jewish Holidays. JYN is happy to announce that through the generosity of donors to our annual match-a-thon (jynmatch.com), we have Gift Cards available for families in need. We hope that more generous donors will come forward, and we can increase this number as needed.
