How do I book a venue?
We’re excited to host your simcha at JYN! Submit your event request through our online booking form with details including date, time, guest count, and a brief event description.
What types of events can you host?
From Brit Milahs, guest speakers, engagement parties, anniversary celebrations, and milestone birthdays to business conferences, Scotch & Cigars nights, and community gatherings, JYN offers the perfect space to make any occasion memorable, meaningful, and delicious.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 6-12 months ahead as our venues fill quickly, especially for food truck options. With the growing popularity of our space, early booking ensures your preferred date.
Do you provide planning assistance?
While we don’t offer full planning services, we can recommend trusted event planners. We’re happy to provide basic guidance and work directly with you or your planner to tailor the event to your vision.
Do you host Bar or Bat Mitzvahs?
We do get asked about Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. JYN is an elegant, intimate venue with detailed design features and a layout that works beautifully for dinners, receptions, speakers, and milestone celebrations. For events that require larger dancing areas, the setup can be more challenging and may take away from the seating and overall flow of the room. Because of that, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are not the main type of event we typically host. That said, we are always happy to speak with families and see if the space makes sense for their specific vision.
When do client-provided items need to be delivered?
All client-provided items, including alcohol, tablecloths, décor and other event supplies, must be delivered to Uptown 18 no later than three days before the event. When is the final guest count due? The final guaranteed guest count is due seven days before the event. After that date, increases are subject to availability and approval, and decreases will not reduce the final event charges.
Can I bring my own catering or outside food?
No. All events at Uptown 18 are catered through our in-house food services. Dairy events are catered through Manna Café, while meat and pareve events are handled through our in-house catering team. Off-site catering is available through Kosher Pickle Catering. For larger-scale dairy events, we work exclusively with Milk & Honey through our catering partnership. Other outside food or catering is not permitted.
